c8fa692ec4 Update includes for webrtc/{base => rtc_base} rename (1/3)
I used a command like this to update the paths:
perl -pi -e "s/webrtc\/base/webrtc\/rtc_base/g" `find webrtc/rtc_base -name "*.cc" -o -name "*.h"`

The only manual edit is to add an include of webrtc/rtc_base/checks.h in
webrtc/modules/audio_device/android/opensles_common.h, which likely
was needed due to changed include paths due to 'git cl format'.

0e4a685542 Added licence boilerplate to our MATLAB files.
The command

tools/checklicenses/checklicenses.py --ignore-suppressions ./webrtc

previously produced this output:
'webrtc/modules/audio_processing/test/apmtest.m' has non-whitelisted license 'UNKNOWN'
'webrtc/modules/audio_processing/transient/test/readDetection.m' has non-whitelisted license 'UNKNOWN'
'webrtc/modules/audio_processing/transient/test/readPCM.m' has non-whitelisted license 'UNKNOWN'

This CL adds the WebRTC licence with appropriate year to all our
MATLAB files. All these files were contributed by WebRTC project
members hlundin@, pbos@, niklase@.

454c1d6a23 Fix neteq_speed_test.cc
After https://codereview.webrtc.org/2340773002,
the path from webrtc::test::ResourcePath in
webrtc/modules/audio_coding/neteq/tools/neteq_performance_test.cc is wrong.

It is
/path/to/repos/resources/audio_coding/testfile32kHz.pcm

It should be
/path/to/repos/webrtc-temp/src/resources/audio_coding/testfile32kHz.pcm.

The middle part is missing.

The reason this target is affected is because
webrtc::test::SetExecutablePath(argv[0]);
was not called.

That call is necessary for us to know that the test is being run from src/
and not from out/Default (as is assumed, when that function is not called.)

Broke out CNG from AudioDecoder as they didn't really share an interface.

Converted the CNG code to C++, to make initialization and resource handling easier. This includes several changes to the behavior, favoring RTC_CHECKs over returning error codes.

10a029e952 Changed AudioEncoder::Encode to take an rtc::Buffer* instead of uint8_t* and a maximum size.
For backwards compatibility, I've added kept the old interface to
Encode() and EncodeInternal and created default implementations of both
variants of EncodeInternal(), each calling the other. At least one of
the variants must be implemented in a subclass or we'll run out of stack
and explode. Would be nice if we could catch that before runtime. :/

The new interface to EncodeInternal() is protected, since it should
never be called from the outside.

Was unable to mark the old EncodeInternal() as RTC_DEPRECATED, since the
default implementaion of the new variant needs to call it to work around
old implementations. The old Encode() variant is deprecated, at least.

Added a test for backwards compatibility in audio_encoder_unittest.cc.
For the added test I broke out MockEncodeHelper from
audio_encoder_copy_red_unittest.cc and renamed it MockAudioEncoderHelper.

ff761fba82 modules: more interface -> include renames
This changes the following module directories:
* webrtc/modules/audio_conference_mixer/interface
* webrtc/modules/interface
* webrtc/modules/media_file/interface
* webrtc/modules/rtp_rtcp/interface
* webrtc/modules/utility/interface

To avoid breaking downstream, I followed this recipe:
1. Copy the interface dir to a new sibling directory: include
2. Update the header guards in the include directory to match the style guide.
3. Update the header guards in the interface directory to match the ones in include. This is required to avoid getting redefinitions in the not-yet-updated downstream code.
4. Add a pragma warning in the header files in the interface dir. Example:
#pragma message("WARNING: webrtc/modules/interface is DEPRECATED; "
                "use webrtc/modules/include")
5. Search for all source references to webrtc/modules/interface and update them to webrtc/modules/include (*.c*,*.h,*.mm,*.S)
6. Update all GYP+GN files. This required manual inspection since many subdirectories of webrtc/modules referenced the interface dir using ../interface etc(*.gyp*,*.gn*)

ee1879ca40 Make an enum class out of NetEqDecoder, and hide the neteq_decoders_ table
This operation was relatively simple, since no one was doing anything
fishy with this enum. A large number of lines had to be changed
because the enum values now live in their own namespace, but this is
arguably worth it since it is now much clearer what sort of constant
they are.

dce40cf804 Update a ton of audio code to use size_t more correctly and in general reduce
use of int16_t/uint16_t.

This is the upshot of a recommendation by henrik.lundin and kwiberg on an original small change ( https://webrtc-codereview.appspot.com/42569004/#ps1 ) to stop using int16_t just because values could fit in it, and is similar in nature to a previous "mass change to use size_t more" ( https://webrtc-codereview.appspot.com/23129004/ ) which also needed to be split up for review but to land all at once, since, like adding "const", such changes tend to cause a lot of transitive effects.

36b7cc3264 Reland "Upconvert various types to int.", neteq portion.
This reverts portions of commit cb180976dd0e9672cde4523d87b5f4857478b5e9, which
reverted commit 83ad33a8aed1fb00e422b6abd33c3e8942821c24.  Specifically, the
files in webrtc/modules/audio_coding/neteq/ are relanded.

The original commit message is below:

Upconvert various types to int.

Per comments from HL/kwiberg on https://webrtc-codereview.appspot.com/42569004 , when there is existing usage of mixed types (int16_t, int, etc.), we'd prefer to standardize on larger types like int and phase out use of int16_t.

Specifically, "Using int16 just because we're sure all reasonable values will fit in 16 bits isn't usually meaningful in C."

This converts some existing uses of int16_t (and, in a few cases, other types such as uint16_t) to int (or, in a few places, int32_t). Other locations will be converted to size_t in a separate change.

728d9037c0 Reformat existing code. There should be no functional effects.
This includes changes like:
* Attempt to break lines at better positions
* Use "override" in more places, don't use "virtual" with it
* Use {} where the body is more than one line
* Make declaration and definition arg names match
* Eliminate unused code
* EXPECT_EQ(expected, actual) (but use (actual, expected) for e.g. _GT)
* Correct #include order
* Use anonymous namespaces in preference to "static" for file-scoping
* Eliminate unnecessary casts
* Update reference code in comments of ARM assembly sources to match actual current C code
* Fix indenting to be more style-guide compliant
* Use arraysize() in more places
* Use bool instead of int for "boolean" values (0/1)
* Shorten and simplify code
* Spaces around operators
* 80 column limit
* Use const more consistently
* Space goes after '*' in type name, not before
* Remove unnecessary return values
* Use "(var == const)", not "(const == var)"
* Spelling
* Prefer true, typed constants to "enum hack" constants
* Avoid "virtual" on non-overridden functions
* ASSERT(x == y) -> ASSERT_EQ(y, x)

b7e5054414 Match existing type usage better.
This makes a variety of small changes to synchronize bits of code using different types, remove useless code or casts, and add explicit casts in some places previously doing implicit ones. For example:

* Change a few type declarations to better match how the majority of code uses those objects.
* Eliminate "< 0" check for unsigned values.
* Replace "(float)sin(x)", where |x| is also a float, with "sinf(x)", and similar.
* Add casts to uint32_t in many places timestamps were used and the existing code stored signed values into the unsigned objects.
* Remove downcasts when the results would be passed to a larger type, e.g. calling "foo((int16_t)x)" with an int |x| when foo() takes an int instead of an int16_t.
* Similarly, add casts when passing a larger type to a function taking a smaller one.
* Add casts to int16_t when doing something like "int16_t = int16_t + int16_t" as the "+" operation would implicitly upconvert to int, and similar.
* Use "false" instead of "0" for setting a bool.
* Shift a few temp types when doing a multi-stage calculation involving typecasts, so as to put the most logical/semantically correct type possible into the temps. For example, when doing "int foo = int + int; size_t bar = (size_t)foo + size_t;", we might change |foo| to a size_t and move the cast if it makes more sense for |foo| to be represented as a size_t.

f045e4da43 Prepare to convert various types to size_t.
This makes some behaviorally-invariant changes to make certain code that
currently only works correctly with signed types work safely regardless of the
signedness of the types in question. This is preparation for a future change
that will convert a variety of types to size_t.

There are also some formatting changes (e.g. converting "enum hack" usage to real consts) to make it simpler to just change "int" to "size_t" in the future to change the types of those constants.

2a10087d5e Manual cleanups following clang-formatting.
This primarily addresses two things:
* Tab characters still present, mostly in comments
* printfs split across multiple lines in a suboptimal way

Along the way this fixes a few spelling errors and other minor changes.

248b0b0790 Run clang-format --style=Chromium on four files I'm otherwise touching.
The existing style in these files is pretty inconsistent and wildly divergent
from most of WebRTC/Chromium; clang-formatting them not only makes them easier
to read, it makes me see fewer presubmit errors when I try to touch the files to
make other changes.

c065cc797d Clarify boolean flags in neteq_opus_quality_test.
Note that the use of boolean flags in gflags is a bit unnatural. For setting a boolean flag to false: putting "no" in front of its name (see http://gflags.github.io/gflags/)

We make this clearer by defaulting boolean flags to false, and clarifying it in the description.
